What a weekend and Does anyone know ?

I have never been as scared as I was Friday . We were scheduled to have a gas meter update , meaning , they were adding a new contraption , so the meter readers , do not have to come inside anymore . Tell you how old my house is ??
It was not Columbia gas , who was installing these , but another company , they hired to do this . The first idiot , said he couldn't do it as he broke off a screw . He told me I had to call the drill team . WTH ! So I did . They said tomorrow between 10 and 12 . Yea , ok ! Friday , the second one shows up , goes downstairs and comes right back up and said , I can't touch this , the first idiot broke all of the screws off and I am calling Columbia gas , and they will call you back . A%%$^&# !!!@!!
No One called , so by then , I have a headache , and feel sick ! I call Columbia gas , and she said get out of the house , it can explode ! WTF !!!!!!!!!
They called an emergency crew in , and they fixed everything the idiots messed up . That guys meter was beeping like crazy , when he went in . All doors and windows had to be opened . I fell down from being dizzy , outside and got a few scrapes . Better than being blowed to kingdom come . !! AS^&^%$# !!!!!!!
I feel better today , but I will never let another person , other than Columbia gas in my home to fix anything . I hope the 2 idiots got fired as they never followed protocol !!! AS%^$#@ !!! Get the point here ?
Thank goodness , I was the only one home !

Now I would like to know if anyone knows , the maker of this owl . I asked way back , if she would selll her pattern , and can't remember who she is ??

Please if anyone knows who designed this , let me know .

Dilly Bread Recipe This is good !

I make this all the time . The first time I made it , I lied , ok , I am a brat !
If I didn't lie , no one would try it here . So all you cottage cheese haters , I proved this is good with my family , as they ate it up .
Then I told them what they ate ! LOL !
Really good Recipe :

Dilly Bread

INGREDIENTS:

1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast

1/4 cup warm water

1 pinch white sugar

1 cup cottage cheese

1 tablespoon margarine

2 tablespoons white sugar

2 teaspoons dill seed

1 teaspoon dried minced onion

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1 egg

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon margarine, melted

1 teaspoon kosher salt

DIRECTIONS:

1.	Stir the yeast into the warm water, and add a pinch of sugar. Set aside to proof.
2.	In a large saucepan, warm the cottage cheese and margarine until the fat is melted. Remove from heat, and add sugar, onion flakes, dill seed, salt, and soda. Mix in egg and dissolved yeast. Stir in flour for a stiff dough. Place dough in a greased bowl, and turn several times to thoroughly coat. Let rise until double in size in a warm place, usually 50 to 60 minutes.
3.	Stir the dough until it is deflated. Place into an 8 inch round, buttered 2 quart casserole. Let rise 30 to 40 minutes in a warm place.
4.	Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 40 to 50 minutes until golden brown. Brush top with melted margarine. Sprinkle lightly with salt.

No , my bed is not made yet ! Ha Ha ! But my kitties love the electric blanket ! These are 2 of the 4 rescues . Blue Boy is the close up and loverboy is laying down . It is so hard to tell them apart by looks , but by personalities , I know who is who . (-:
It is cold here again today . We have had such a mild winter , I can't complain . Me and the boys , stay warm and I try to get my crafting done .
I am working on another body form . I hope to have done soon . I am going to post a tut on it , so stay tuned !

My cheese bread turned out Great !

Crock~pot Potato Soup Today

Yes , that crock~pot I so love ! Sure makes life easy !
My recipe :
6 medium potatoes , peeled and cubed
about 1/3 cup diced celery
about 1/3 cup diced onion
2 cups cubed ham
1 1/2 cups American cheese grated or cubed
1 Tablespoon minced garlic from the jar
2 cups water to start the process
Heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
I mix everything together , but , the cheese and heavy cream , in my crockpot .
Let cook till your potatoes are cooked through , then add your heavy cream and cheese . Let cook another 15 min.
Serve hot with a loaf of homemade cheese bread .
Recipe below :

Cheddar Cheese Bread

3 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
4 ounces of cheddar cheese, cut into ½ inch cubes
1 ¼ cups milk
¾ cup sour cream
3 tablespoon butter melted
1 egg, lightly beaten

Heat oven to 350. Generously grease a 9×5 loaf pan with oil. In a bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Carefully stir in cheese cubes until cheese is well coated. In a separate bowl whisk together the remaining ingredients. Fold the milk mixture into the flour/cheese mixture. Stir just until combined, do not over stir. The mixture will be thick. Pour/spread into greased loaf pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes and then remove from pan. Let cool one hour before slicing and serving.

There has been so much drama in my life . This year , I need to focus on my health and well being .

Crystal Snowflake made with Borax

Supplies needed:

Wide mouthed jar
3 white pipe cleaners
String
Scissors
Pencil
Boiling water (have an adult do this part)
Spoon
Borax (called 20 Mule Team Borax Laundry Booster - the product called Boraxo will NOT work)
Optional: blue food coloring
Make a giant snowflake frame from 3 white pipe cleaners and string. Twist the 3 pipe cleaners together in the center to make a 6-sided, spiky figure.
Make sure this figure fits inside the wide-mouthed jar.
Tie the string around the pipe cleaners to look like a snowflake shape. Trim the excess string.
Tie a few inches of string to one of the pipe cleaners. Tie the other end of the string to a pencil, so that the snowflake will hang from the pencil and dangle inside the jar.
Take the snowflake out of the jar.
Pour boiling water into the jar.
Add the 20 Mule Team Borax Laundry Booster to the hot water in the jar.
Keep adding the Borax until you have a supersaturated solution (you will see undissolved Borax at the bottom of the jar). You'll have to add about 3 tablespoonfuls of the 20 Mule Team Borax Laundry Booster to each cup of hot water in the jar.
Optional: Add a few drops of blue food coloring for a bluish snowflake.

Hang the snowflake in the jar and wait at least overnight.

In the morning, your snowflake will be covered with beautiful crystals.

As the supersaturated solution cools, the borax comes out of solution (less of the borax can dissolve in cool water) and forms crystals on the pipe cleaners and string.

3 D Prim Star Ornament

Print out two copies of the template .

This will make one 3D star.

Fold the tab under both of the stars. Crease the interior lines of the stars so that the arms of the star puff up.

Put glue on the flaps and glue the two stars together . Each flap should be glued to the inside of the other star.

Glue a short loop of string or yarn to one arm of the star. Then you can cover with wrapping paper , fabric glitter , etc .

I design graphics . I always purchase commercial use license for anything I use that I do not create . I also purchase images with license . I see templates all over ebay that are in copyright violation . How do they get away with this ??? I charge 7.99 a template , and mind you , I pay for my licensed images . Not cheap ! So at a fair price of 7.99 for my work , they sell templates that are in copyright violation , for $ 2 , 3 5 bucks and free shipping . ??? It costs 2.41 to ship a cd . 7.99 - 2.41 = 5.58 which is not profit ,
as I have ebay and paypal fees . So what the heck am I doing wrong ??

I can not begin to say what a wonderful person she was . Such a good friend and I miss you so much . My heart breaks as the lord took a good person too soon .

Margaret Edith “Teny” Abbott, 78, died and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 29, 2009 after a long illness. Born June 29, 1931 in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Louis Albert Denner and Edith Mae Denner. She retired from Therm-O-Disc where she worked for 34 years in the Disc Department. Margaret was an active member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church for 52 years. She taught all ages of children Sunday School classes for 15 years. She was loved and cherished by all her children in her class. Margaret loved teaching the children and attending church. She was actively involved in quilting at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and made some beautiful quilts for the church and her family. Her other hobbies included working crossword puzzles and putting puzzles together. She was also involved with the Seniors Group at the Friendly House. On June 21, 1953 she married Robert Dana Abbott in Columbus and they were married for 56 years. Margaret had a generous personality and impacted everyone she met. She always had a kind word to say about people. A very positive and strong person, she never let her illness with cancer get her down. Margaret continued living her life to the fullest until she passed away. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Dana Abbott; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael D. and Deborah S. Abbott of Mansfield; one daughter, Deborah K. Martin of West Palm Beach, Florida; four grandchildren, Ashley and Aaron Abbott of Mansfield, Brent Martin and his wife, Tara, of Stuart, Florida, and Bree Martin of West Balm Beach, Florida; two great-grandsons, Chase Martin of Stuart, Florida and Haydon Gaines of Mansfield; one sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca A. and Herbert Coon of Shelby; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Betty L. Stephenson; two brothers, Louis “Buddy” Denner, and Richard Denner. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends, and all who knew and loved her. She was a unique woman!

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 1, 2010, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, OH 44902. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2010, at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Jon Steingass. Burial will occur at Mansfield Memorial Park on Monday, January 4, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Dr., Ashland, Ohio 44805, Catholic Charities, 35 N. I have many pics from Charles Mill Dam to Mohican to Malabar Farm . Hope you enjoy my pics . I met a gal at the dam and she told me her Grand mother & Grandfather use to be the caretakers there . if you look closely at one of the pics she is walking . I think it is a 1/4 mile up and back . Then I ran into a fly fisherman who was from SugarCreek . Then along the way I ended up at the fire tower at Mohican . I met 2 boys , Jayson and Brett , hmm were you playing hooky ?? LOL Finally went to Malabar Farm and chated with a gal there .

We have been remodeling , and with old homes as you start to tear out , you find things wrong that just add to your work load .

We have torn out the kitchen walls , then we bought a new washer and dryer . Went to take out the old and it had leaked where we couldn't see . We tore out the flooring to find it was 6 inches from a cement floor .

I will be so glad when we get this all done and get our carpeting in .

Old newspapers lined floors

In the day , floors were lined with old newspapers to cut down on drafts . Found some where the old cabinets were . Can't buy a paper for a nickel anymore . Shoes and dresses , 1.99 . These are dated 1946 .

I can't believe the nastiness that is behind old walls .
Hubs and I decided to remodel and finally tore out all of the old bottom cabinets .
Old slats and blown in insulation .
What a mess !
We bought a glass top table and decided to use it to make a window for the kitchen . It will go in before we drywall .
I saw an idea using lace to make mosquito screens , and thought it would look nice to lace the corners of the glass , before we frame it .
We have a ways to go , but hoping it will all look good when done .
I have an old antique buffet I purchased from a friend that will go along that wall . Found some beautiful old quaker lace table clothes , will use one on the top of it .

Having a close out sale . Will be adding more today and tomarrow .

I will still be selling my graphics and my OOAK creations .

As I create a new item , I will post here and list on ebay .

When I do so , you will know I am the designer .

I see so many blogs that have gals who have designed and then it becomes a phenomanal item from those who see it , tweak it and claim it as their own .

I will be adding Beeswax items , no wax items , as I create . I started this long ago , and so many are doing this now , and taking credit for all of the designs .

So I am going to be comming up with designs that only I will have .

If you see someone else with it , it will be that they made a mold from my items and claimed as their own .

Yes , there are alot who do this , and then claim , they came out with it .

I have been selling my candles , tarts and beeswax items now for 11 years .

It kind of peeves me that people can not come up with their own creations & ideas .

That is why , I am copyrighting all of my designs from here on out .

Meaning , anything I make a mold of will be my handmade creation .

I will make a mold from it and it will be copyrighted .

The beeswax piece and the mold .

So if you see anyone else selling it , you will know it is mine and please report it .

I have made my decision on selling and am happy with it

I have decided I am going to get out of the selling of my crafts . The prices of supplies are getting outrageous , suppliers come and go , there will always be someone who will undercut your price , not caring if they make a profit . They just want to make a name .

I have been doing this for 11 years and I am ok with not selling anymore .
I can buy at anytime , or make for myself .
Between shows and their fees for setting up , ebay fees , anywhere you sell , you have to pay fees and it is to a point with the economy the way it is , people just can not afford things like they used to . Including me .

I will be listing all of my supplies on ebay . They will be at cost , I am not willing to take a huge loss just to clean out supplies . I will keep them before that happens . But I can tell ya , I got alot of great buys , and will give the same buy .

I will start listing Wednesday as buy it nows . Unless I have things I can lot together , then it will auction at a fair low start price .
